We were going to have each kid read the same script so we would have a video for each market they represented. I got the idea of doing a compilation video of all the videos to tell one script that could be used in the national market.
We executed the project in an afternoon. While all the kids were visiting Houston, we had each sit down and read the same script. Some of the kids were more comfortable in front of the camera than others, but we had them read the script one line at a time.
It ended up being about 15 interviews total. Once the shots were all lined up it was just a matter of picking the right takes.
